Joey Vincent will be in concert on Wednesday, Oct. 19, at 1:30 p.m. at KleinLife, 10100 Jamison Ave.

Wine tasting in the Sukkah

Congregations of Shaare Shamayim, 9768 Verree Road, will offer a steak dinner and wine tasting under the night sky in its Sukkah on Wednesday, Oct. 19, at 6:30 pm.

Fish and vegetarian options are available upon request.

Jack Levin will be introducing a line of Italian wines. Bottles will be available for purchase starting at $10.

Recycling on Saturday

City Councilman Brian O’Neill will host a recycling event on Saturday, Oct. 15, from 9 a.m. to noon outside his district office at 432 Rhawn St., behind American Heritage Federal Credit Union.

Recycling bins will be distributed, and people can sign up for the Recycling Rewards Program.

Butkovitz holding financial fair

City Controller Alan Butkovitz will hold a financial wellness fair on Saturday, Oct. 22, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Pelbano Recreation Center, at 8101 Bustleton Ave. in Rhawnhurst.

The event will include tips for senior citizens to avoid frauds; housing counseling; credit counseling; retirement planning; food and refreshments; and raffles.

Among those scheduled to join Butkovitz are U.S. Rep. Brendan Boyle, state Sen. John Sabatina Jr., state Rep. Ed Neilson, City Councilman Brian O’Neill, officials from Helping Hand Home Health & Hospice and representatives from city, state and community organizations.
